I want to thank to the Award selection committee members for your bad job, selecting a wrong person for this distinguished award. Special
thanks to Jim Pollan, the chairman, and the board members. I want to also thank to my family, Kay my wife who supports and coaches many of my activities. I want to thank to my team mates in GBM, lead by Don Kim and the GBM gangs. I thank you for your dedicated efforts so I could hang out with these good Americans. Most of
all, I want to thank all the members of the armed
forces organizations and patriotic citizens for your
tireless efforts to serving this greatest country on earth.
You all should be taking this award! I would like to ask you all the Korean War veterans and take a good look at this award. This is for you! My heroes! I am honored as an American, and I am honored particularly as an immigrant American. I recognize this award serves as a message to the rest of my fellow immigrants to realize the share of the ownership of America and guiding to serve their new country better. I came to this country 1974. Soon as I arrived, I amazed to witness how much American people are different than Korean people in the way to deal with materials. America has so many special values as I expected but there are a few things I saw need to be fixed. Everyone carries so many keys which mean people distrust the other people, people waste too many things such as disposable cups, cans and bottles and many more, students throw away half used note books, pencils and more・.. Also, amazed to see the amount of toilet tissue the American people uses each time・ Wow, I thought you all have a large size of ・・・・ What I noticed most was, many American people is taking the freedom granted, some thinks the American patriotism belongs to only a certain group of people. I thought this needed to be changed. I started to think to change the way America uses the resources, the way too deal with national patriotism except the toilet tissue usage. A few years later, I became American citizen and, I made up my mind! I will be the best citizen this country ever had! Actually, America invested so much in the new immigrants and we are about to harvesting the fruits. I urge all Americans to continue to support this new citizen group. You will be glad for your return on your investment. General Ray Davis and many of you cared and invested in Sunny Park for a long time and Sunny Park is the product you created. Thank you! I wish you all continue to invest in transforming the rest of us to be Patriotic Americans. We came to America with different values and resources to serve our new country, America. The value we brought with us, I believe, is what America needed most, spread out hard working attitude, visualize the value of the freedom, increasing the moral level and more. Certainly, we will be a great part of the future America! Thank
